Terms and Conditions
Terms for using SpeakToScore
Effective date: June 3, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of SpeakToScore, an AI Exam Coach for IELTS, TOEFL, and DET practice across Speaking, Writing, Listening, and Reading, operated by Lear Labs Private Limited. By creating an account, logging in, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using SpeakToScore, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. About SpeakToScore
SpeakToScore helps students practice exam-style tasks, receive AI-estimated practice scores for Speaking and Writing, review deterministic answer-key results for Listening and Reading, identify score blockers, use targeted drills, and ask Scout for account-specific study guidance.
SpeakToScore is a learning and practice tool only. It is not an official testing authority, does not issue certified scores, and does not guarantee admissions, visa, academic, employment, or official exam outcomes.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.
You may not share account access, sell account access, or use another person's account to avoid plan limits or identity checks.
3. Practice Scores and Reports
Speaking and Writing reports may use AI to estimate practice scores and give feedback. Listening and Reading reviews are marked deterministically from saved answer keys, though AI may help explain evidence or traps. All scores, bands, recommendations, and predictions are practice guidance only.
AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or subjective. You are responsible for how you interpret and use outputs, including Scout responses, reports, score blockers, study plans, and drills.
4. Scout and Personalized Guidance
Scout is designed to use your authenticated account context, such as your own profile, reports, attempts, score blockers, and study plan. Scout should not be treated as an official examiner, admissions adviser, immigration adviser, or legal adviser.
Scout guidance is generated from available account data. If your account has limited or incomplete data, Scout may recommend taking a diagnostic mock or completing practice before giving a stronger recommendation.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- use the platform for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive purposes;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, resell, or disrupt the service;
- upload content that infringes rights or violates applicable laws;
- share or misuse account access in a way that circumvents plan rules or limits;
- use the platform to misrepresent your identity, exam score, or language ability to third parties;
- attempt to access another user's reports, recordings, profile, or account data;
- interfere with the experience, security, or access of other users.
6. User Content
You remain responsible for the content you submit, including recordings, transcripts, written responses, selected answers, Scout messages, prompts, and any other materials you upload or generate through the service.
You grant SpeakToScore the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, store, analyze, display, and use your content to operate the service, generate feedback, personalize your experience, support your account, maintain report history, detect misuse, and improve the product.
7. Subscription Terms and Billing
SpeakToScore may offer free access, one-time purchases, recurring subscriptions, limited-use plans, fair-use practice features, and promotional offers. The applicable price, billing cycle, usage limit, renewal terms, and access duration are shown at checkout and on the pricing page.
Paid plans may include capped Mock Exams, Guided Practice Sessions, and AI Writing Reports. "Unlimited Writing Practice" means drafting and practice, not unlimited AI-scored writing reports. Reading and Listening practice may be offered with fair-use limits.
Paid plans may describe AI Writing Reports as unlimited for normal student use, but AI-scored reports are subject to fair-use caps: Exam Rush includes up to 20 AI Writing Reports in 7 days, Full Prep includes up to 60 AI Writing Reports in 30 days, and Mastery includes up to 180 AI Writing Reports in 90 days. We may limit, delay, or review excessive, automated, abusive, shared-account, or non-student usage.
If you purchase a subscription, it may renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the next renewal date. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring charges consistent with the plan you selected.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing cycle unless stated in our Refund Policy or required by law.
9. No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee any specific score improvement, fluency outcome, academic result, admissions result, visa result, employment result, or other personal outcome from using SpeakToScore.
10. Intellectual Property
SpeakToScore and all related software, designs, branding, text, prompts, scoring systems, workflows, reports, and other platform content are owned by or licensed to Lear Labs Private Limited and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for your personal or internal educational use, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
11. Exam Organization Disclaimer
SpeakToScore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by IELTS, TOEFL, DET, ETS, IDP, British Council, Cambridge, or Duolingo. Any exam names are used only to describe the type of practice experience students are preparing for.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to SpeakToScore if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms and Conditions, engaged in fraud or abuse, failed to pay applicable fees, attempted to access another user's data, or created risk for the platform, our business, or other users.
You may stop using the service at any time. Certain provisions of these Terms and Conditions will survive termination where reasonably necessary.
13. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available access. Features may change, be updated, or be removed over time for legal, technical, operational, or commercial reasons.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakToScore is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lear Labs Private Limited and its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of SpeakToScore.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date and publish the revised version on this page. Your continued use of SpeakToScore after updated terms become effective means you accept them.
