Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information

Effective date: June 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SpeakToScore, operated by Lear Labs Private Limited, collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you access our AI Exam Coach for IELTS, TOEFL, and DET practice across Speaking, Writing, Listening, and Reading.

1. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through SpeakToScore, including information collected when you create an account, complete onboarding, use mocks or practice sessions, receive reports or Scout guidance, purchase a plan, contact support, or interact with our website.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • account information such as your name, email address, and sign-in details;
  • profile and onboarding data such as selected exam, target score, target universities, test date, goals, preferences, and study context;
  • usage data such as pages visited, interactions, browser type, device information, and service activity;
  • voice, audio, transcript, speaking-response, written-response, answer, passage, transcript-review, and performance data created when you use the platform;
  • AI-estimated practice scores, deterministic answer-key results, reports, feedback, corrections, recommendations, blocker history, and progress history;
  • Scout messages and the account context used to answer them, such as your own profile, reports, attempts, score blockers, and study plan;
  • billing and transaction data made available by third-party payment processors;
  • support inquiries, communications, and troubleshooting details you send to us.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • deliver mocks, practice sessions, Coach Mode, Scout guidance, and AI-based feedback;
  • personalize the platform, dashboard, reports, score blockers, and study recommendations;
  • maintain your report history and track progress over time;
  • improve platform quality, performance, reliability, and product safety;
  • process subscriptions, payments, access rights, and account limits;
  • respond to support requests and service-related communications;
  • comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse.

4. Practice Data, Audio, and AI Processing

Because SpeakToScore is an exam-practice platform, recordings, transcripts, written responses, selected answers, answer keys, report evidence, and performance data are core parts of the service. We may process these inputs to generate AI-estimated practice scores for Speaking and Writing, deterministic answer-key reviews for Listening and Reading, corrections, score-blocker insights, and personalized feedback.

Scout uses account-scoped context only. When you ask Scout a question, the API builds context from your authenticated account, such as your own profile, reports, attempts, repeated mistakes, active score blockers, and study plan. We do not intentionally give Scout access to other users' account data.

5. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate SpeakToScore. These may include database, authentication, storage, voice-session, AI model, analytics, hosting, email, support, and payment providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide services to us, support the platform, comply with law, and protect against abuse.

We may send relevant practice inputs and context to AI providers to generate feedback, reports, explanations, and Scout responses. We do not use AI outputs as official exam results.

6. Payments

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems. We may receive limited billing data such as payment status, plan type, transaction identifiers, billing country, and renewal status to manage your subscription and access rights.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers and vendors that help us host, secure, analyze, support, and operate SpeakToScore.

We may also share information:

  • with payment processors for transaction handling;
  • with professional advisers, insurers, or auditors where reasonably necessary;
  • with regulators, courts, or legal authorities where required by law;
  • with a buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, improve reliability, measure product usage, and support platform security and performance.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the service may not function properly if certain cookies or storage tools are disabled.

9. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to help protect personal information. These measures may include secure infrastructure, access controls, encrypted connections, secret management, and monitoring systems.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

10. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate SpeakToScore, maintain your account and report history, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

Completed reports, attempts, recordings, transcripts, and saved progress may remain available in your account until deleted, expired under platform rules, or no longer needed for the purposes described in this policy.

11. International Use

SpeakToScore is intended for a global audience. Your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, subject to reasonable safeguards where required by applicable law.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of certain personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is used, or appeal certain decisions in some circumstances.

You can update some account information in the product. For data access or deletion requests, contact us at speaktoscore@gmail.com.

13. Children's Privacy

SpeakToScore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

14. Exam Organizations and Official Scores

SpeakToScore provides practice tools and AI-estimated or deterministic practice feedback. SpeakToScore is not affiliated with IELTS, TOEFL, DET, ETS, IDP, British Council, Cambridge, or Duolingo, and our scores are not official exam scores.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may revise the effective date and publish the updated version on this page. Continued use of SpeakToScore after the revised policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
