1. SpeakToScore is a digital service
SpeakToScore sells digital access to online practice, AI analysis, reports, and voice sessions. Nothing is physically shipped, so there are no physical goods to return. References to a "return policy" mean this Refund and Cancellation Policy.
This Policy applies to payments made through SpeakToScore and processed by Stripe. If a purchase is made through another authorized marketplace, that marketplace's refund process may apply in addition to mandatory law.
2. Our voluntary 7-day refund window
You may ask us to review a refund for the original payment on a paid plan within 7 calendar days after the purchase date. This voluntary window applies once per customer to the first purchase of the relevant service and is separate from statutory withdrawal, conformity, or consumer-remedy rights.
Submitting a request does not automatically guarantee approval. We review the timing, reason, payment status, service use, prior refunds, and any suspected abuse. Where the request qualifies, we normally refund the eligible charge to the original payment method and remove the associated paid access.
3. Eligibility under the voluntary policy
A request is generally eligible for review when:
- it is submitted within 7 calendar days of the original qualifying payment;
- you identify the account and transaction so we can verify the purchase;
- the account has not already received a refund for the same or substantially similar purchase;
- the request is made in good faith and is not connected to fraud, account sharing, automation, or plan-limit evasion;
- the included limited-use service has not been substantially consumed.
Substantial consumption may include completing most or all included Live AI mocks, Coach Mode sessions, or other clearly limited, high-cost features. Drafting, browsing, or ordinary evaluation of the product does not by itself establish abuse. We consider the circumstances rather than applying an automatic denial solely because you logged in.
Unless required by law, we do not provide cash refunds for free access, coupons, promotional credits, expired plans, unused time after the voluntary window, or a change of mind after substantial consumption. We generally do not provide partial or prorated refunds for unused time, except as described below or required by law.
4. Subscription renewals and accidental charges
Recurring plans renew at the interval and price shown at checkout until canceled. A renewal charge is not covered by the first-purchase 7-day window. You are responsible for canceling before the renewal date if you do not want the next period.
If a renewal was accidental, contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of the charge. We will review the request, especially where there has been no material use after renewal, but approval is not guaranteed unless applicable law requires a refund. Duplicate charges and confirmed billing errors will be corrected.
5. How cancellation works
You can cancel a recurring subscription through the Stripe billing portal available from your SpeakToScore billing or account page. You may also contact us if the portal is unavailable. Cancellation stops future renewals once it is completed.
Unless a refund or mandatory remedy applies, you keep access until the end of the already-paid billing period. One-time passes do not renew and expire after the access period shown at checkout. Deleting the app data or stopping use does not by itself cancel a recurring Stripe subscription.
6. Service failures, duplicate charges, and non-conforming service
If a paid core feature repeatedly fails because of SpeakToScore or one of our providers, contact us with the date, feature, and error. We may first offer troubleshooting, restored access, a replacement attempt, regenerated analysis, or an extension where that resolves the issue within a reasonable time.
If we cannot supply a material paid feature or bring the digital service into conformity, you may be entitled to a full or proportionate refund under applicable law. Confirmed duplicate charges, incorrect amounts, or payments taken after a completed cancellation will be corrected after verification.
7. Statutory withdrawal and consumer rights
Nothing in this Policy limits a refund, cancellation, withdrawal, charge correction, or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
Consumers in the EEA or UK may have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from certain distance contracts. If you ask for the digital service to begin immediately during the withdrawal period, applicable law may permit a proportionate charge for service already supplied. A right may be lost for fully supplied services or certain digital content only where the legally required prior express consent, request, acknowledgment, and confirmation have been obtained. Contact us to exercise any applicable statutory right.
Consumers in India and other countries may also have rights when a digital service is defective, misdescribed, not supplied, or charged incorrectly. These rights apply in addition to our voluntary policy.
8. How to request a refund or exercise withdrawal
Email speaktoscore@gmail.com with the subject "Refund Request" and include:
- the email address used for SpeakToScore and Stripe Checkout;
- the plan and approximate purchase date;
- the Stripe receipt, invoice, or transaction identifier if available;
- a brief explanation, including any technical error;
- a clear statement if you are exercising a statutory withdrawal right.
We may request reasonable information to verify the payment, identity, and eligibility. Do not email a full card number, password, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
9. Approval, access removal, and processing time
Approved refunds are sent through Stripe to the original payment method. When a full refund is issued, the related paid access, unused allowances, and premium report access may be removed. A partial statutory refund may result in corresponding adjustment of access.
We will process an approved refund without undue delay. The date funds appear depends on Stripe, your bank, card network, currency conversion, and payment method. We cannot send a card refund to a different account or payment method.
10. Fraud, misuse, and chargebacks
We may deny a voluntary refund where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, repeated refund cycling, shared-account use, automated consumption, false information, or an attempt to retain paid outputs while reversing payment. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights.
Please contact us before starting a chargeback so we have an opportunity to correct the issue. We may suspend access while a payment dispute is open and provide relevant transaction and usage records to Stripe, the bank, or card network. An improper chargeback may lead to account termination under the Terms and Conditions.
11. Changes, related terms, and contact
We may update this Policy for future purchases when plans, payment methods, or legal requirements change. The version in effect when you purchased generally governs our voluntary refund promise for that purchase, while later legal requirements apply as required by law.
This Policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and the terms shown at checkout. Billing and refund questions can be sent to Lear Labs Private Limited at speaktoscore@gmail.com.
